HYDERABAD: French Ambassador H.E. Thierry Mathou lauded the Hyderabad Metro Rail system, describing it as a shining example of innovation and technological progress in urban transportation during their visit to L&TMRHL, Hyderabad, on Friday.

L&TMRHL hosted Dr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, and his distinguished delegation, including Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France, Pascal Loreau, Deputy Consul at Bureau de France – Hyderabad, and Bertrand de La Forest Divonne, Economic Counselor – Regional Economic Service (South India).

The delegation was received by NVS Reddy, Managing Director of HMRL, KVB Reddy, Managing Director & CEO of L&TMRHL, Sudhir Chiplunkar, Chief Operating Officer of L&TMRHL, and SC Mishra, managing director of Keolis Hyderabad.

During the event, L&TMRHL and Keolis Hyderabad, the operations and maintenance (O&M) partner for the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR), presented insightful overviews of HMR and showcased its advanced technology, operational efficiency, and dedication to sustainable urban mobility.

The highlight of the visit was an immersive tour of the Hyderabad Metro Rail's Operations Control Centre (OCC), hailed as the network's nerve center. The delegation witnessed firsthand the cutting-edge technologies utilised by the Hyderabad Metro Rail, including the innovative Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system, a pioneering initiative in India. The visit provided a comprehensive understanding of the meticulous operational mechanisms ensuring seamless metro services.
