Ganja-coated chocolates intoxicate students in Kothur; three Odisha peddlers held

HYDERABAD: The sale of ganja chocolates in Kothur mandal of Shadnagar constituency has caused quite a stir. The principal of a Government high school in Kothur noticed a change in the student's behaviour and complained to the district education officer and the local police.

The Special Operations Team (SOT) police conducted surveillance in grocery shops in Kothur based on a tip-off. During the raids, they seized approximately 8 kg of ganja chocolate packets in yellow and gold colours, sold under the name Charminar Gold.Three individuals from Odisha state who were involved in selling these chocolates were arrested.

Police said that details would be provided after a thorough investigation. When asked for an explanation regarding the sale of ganja chocolates, Kothur Inspector Narsimha Rao confirmed the sale and seizure of Ganja and stated that further investigation would reveal more details.
