GHMC begins crackdown on stray dogs
The state municipal administration and urban development department has issued orders with directions for efficient control of the stray dog menace
HYDERABAD: Since a five-year-old kid was mauled to death in Hyderabad's Amberpet area, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has initiated a crackdown on street dogs in various municipalities across the city in order to prevent such incidents from occurring again.
The Municipal Corporations of Nizampet, Secunderabad, Serilingampalle, Uppal, Rajendranagar, Qutubullapur, Kukatpally, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Alwal, Ramchandrapuram, and LB Nagar, along with Blue Cross members, captured dogs in various parts of the municipal corporations on Friday and took them for sterilisation and birth control in order to control the stray dog menace.
The municipalities even asked for suggestions/complaints to be directed to 04029569700 / 04029569600 / 14420.
