HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) town planning department on Monday demolished a four-story building in Bahadurpura that had tilted on one side, causing panic and fear among residents.
According to reports, the four-story under-construction building in Bahadurpura was constructed even though permission had been granted for only two stories, resulting in cracks on the underside of the building.
The GHMC officials visited the site on Sunday and decided to demolish the building as it was not suitable for use and posed a danger to the public. Police took up a case against the building owner after evacuating people from nearby houses on Sunday.
