Hotel manager shot dead at Miyapur in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: An incident in which the unidentified persons shot at a person with a pistol to death in Miyapur of Hyderabad created a stir locally.

The victim, identified as Devender Gayan, hails from Kolkata in West Bengal and is working as a general manager of Kinnera Grand Sandarshini Hotel located under the Miyapur police station limits.

However, while he was going home on Wednesday night, a group of assailants opened fire at Devender with a pistol leaving him with severe bleeding injuries. He was taken to a hospital by the locals and he died while undergoing treatment.

Upon learning the incident, Madhapur DCP Sandeep reached the spot and recovered 6 bullets from there. The Miyapur police who found that there were five rounds of firing at Devender formed into teams and launched a manhunt for the accused.
