HYDERABAD: In a new twist to former BRS MLA Shakil Amir’s son Raheel Amir’s “rash driving” destroying the barricades set up at the Praja Bhavan camp office, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy suspended Panjagutta SHO B.Durga Rao. The charge was negligence in investigation of former MLA son's case. However, the actual charge against the inspector was that he had tried to replace Raheel Amir with his driver and divert the case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police of West Zone Vijay Kumar conducted a full-length investigation into Durga Rao's case and found that the latter tried to implicate another person instead of Former Bodhan MLA Shakil Aamir’s son in the car crash case.

Meanwhile, SHO Durga Rao was admitted to the hospital due to low BP.

It may be recalled that Raheel Amir, the son of former MLA of Bodhan, was involved in the rash driving of his BMW car bearing number TS 13 ET 0777 and destroyed the barricades at the Praja Bhavan camp office. The accused has allegedly tried to escape from the

The police booked one Abdul Asif, 27, driver from Maharastra as the accused. The driver too “volunteered” to confess to the offence.

Raheel Amir was allegedly in an inebriated condition.

Interestingly, Raheel Amir is still at large and the police are investigating into the case.

It may be recalled that Raheel Amir was earlier present in a car that hit and killed a toddler in 2022 at Jubilee Hills.
