HYDERABAD: A fire erupted from an underground gas pipeline near Suchitra Junction in Kompally in Hyderabad on Monday.
The fire broke out at 11:30 a.m., causing panic among commuters and bystanders. However, the fire was quickly extinguished by 12:30 p.m. by the fire tenders, DRF teams and Bharat gas teams, who quickly rushed to the spot.
According to locals, the fire started when a pipe broke due to highway development works, but it spread after someone lit a cigarette and threw it away. No casualties reported during the fire accident.
