Hyderabad gets its 18th SHE Shuttle bus to help female techies commuting from Balanagar, Kukatpally

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police on Wednesday flagged off the 18th SHE Shuttle, an exclusive transport system for women, from the Cyberabad police commissionerate premises.

This SHE Shuttle connects the new route from Balanagar Y -Junction to Avineon India Pvt. Ltd. (Avineon India) headquarters at the Capital Land Atria buildings through Kukatpally Y -Junction.

On the 25th anniversary of Avineon India, Additional CP Avinash Mohanty, Society For Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) members, Avineon India senior management, and other police officials launched the 18th SHE Shuttle from the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate premises. This bus is sponsored for three years by Avineon India as part of their CSR effort dedicated to women's empowerment.

Women travelling from the Balanagar area to Raheja Mindspace must currently change two buses or use alternate public transportation such as shared autos or autos. The newly sponsored SHE Shuttle would provide last-mile connectivitto women coming from the Balanagar or Kukatpally areas, while also visiting various IT and ITES organisations and IT parks.

Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General of SCSC said: “What we started in 2015 with two SHE Shuttles with the support of TSIIC and Telangana Government, with today's launch, we have been able to scale up to eighteen SHE Shuttles with this initiative. We are happy that Avineon India has come forward to support this unique initiative, meant for safe travel to women, by providing last-mile connectivity. SCSC's SHE Shuttle continues to be a unique initiative, anywhere in the country."

Speaking of the launch, Managing Director of Avineon India, Karlu Rambhala said "We are happy to support the SHE Shuttle initiative of SCSC, which is free for women shuttle service that I am confident will benefit many women travelling towards the IT Corridor from Balanagar Y-Junction, Hyderabad. For the past 25 years, Avineon India has supported many initiatives for female empowerment, and this is an extension of that philosophy.”

The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has launched the She Shuttle for the benefit of female employees.
