Hyderabad Metro rail felicitated for going extra mile for Numaish visitors
Special metro ticket counters were set up at Gandhi Bhavan for the convenience of travellers visiting Numaish exhibition
HYDERABAD: The All India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE) Numaish society recognised and honoured the Hyderabad Metro Rail for its smooth efforts in assisting guests travelling by metro to the 82nd AIIE Numaish-2023 exhibition last 46 days.
Telangana Home Minister Muhammad Mahmood Ali presented the special memento and citation to Hyderabad Metro Rail on February 13, 2023, in the presence of CV Anand IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, and other dignitaries from AIIE (Numaish).
Hyderabad Metro Rail's services were extended from the first week of January through February 15, 2023, when metro trains ran in two corridors - Miyapur - LB Nagar and Raidurg - Nagole - after business hours, with the last train departing at 12 midnight and arriving at 1 am. Special metro ticket counters were set up at Gandhi Bhavan for the convenience of travellers visiting Numaish exhibition.
According to metro officials, a record 1.9 crore people boarded the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) trains between January 1 and February 15, with approximately 11 lakh riders utilising it to reach the 46-day All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish) at Nampally.
