Hyderabad police nab seven interstate ganja sellers, 4.1 kg of ganja seized

HYDERABAD: Sleuths from the Commissioner's Task Force, north zone team, Narayanguda and Lallaguda police station nabbed seven interstate Ganja sellers on Saturday.

The police recovered 4.1 kg of marijuana and six cell phones during raids at Melkote Park, Vittalwadi in Narayanguda, and Near Noori Panshop, Lallaguda.

The main accused SK Dhanna, according to the police, is an Odisha native and ganja supplier. He rented a house near Melkote Park in Vittalwadi, Narayanguda, and lived there for a few days. His associates were temporarily living in his rented property and continued selling ganja.

SK Dhanna used to fetch raw ganja to Hyderabad via his associates Shaik Asif and Arif Khan. They also distributed ganja through local agents in Hyderabad to make money.

SK Dhanna supplied 5 kg of ganja to his associates Shaik Asif Ramzan and Arif Khan in Hyderabad. On July 6, 2023, both boarded the Falaknuma Express at Cuttack and arrived in Hyderabad.

They took shelter at the Narayanguda residence, which was rented by SK Dhanna, and gave 2 kg of Ganja to local seller Toufeeq Diwan who, in turn, handed the package to Mujahid Ali Khan, a local agent in Lalaguda.

On credible information, the task force north zone team, along with the Lalaguda Police, captured Mujahid Ali Khan, Toufeeq Diwan, and Ganja users A.Susheel Kumar and Hiwarle Sai Karthik in possession of 1.1 kg of Ganja near Noori pan shop in Lallaguda.

The police also apprehended a local ganja seller, Mohammad Abdul Rahman, when he met Shaik Asif and Arif Khan in Narayanguda to distribute remaining ganja and seized 3 kg from them.

The police registered cases under NDPS Act and other related sections and are investigating the case.
