HYDERABAD: An engineer of Hyderabad Aishwarya Thatikonda, 27, is one of the victim of the shooting incident at Allen mall in Texas, USA. Her Indian male friend Shreyas was also injured and receiving treatment at McKinney Medical. Currently he is on a ventilator, according to her former classmates.
She studied civil engineering between 2014-2018 at MVSR College of Engineering, Nadergul, Hyderabad.
She went to the USA for her masters. Later she joined as Project Engineer at Perfect General Contractors LLC at Frisco near Dallas, Texas.
Her father Narsi Reddy is a judge in Ranga Reddy district courts.
Aishwarya studied MS in Construction Management at Grand School, Eastern Michigan University, Michigan, USA.
She also had worked as a Graduate Assistant in Eastern Michigan University.
She’s among the eight killed in the gunfire by lone gunman Mauricio Garcia who was, in turn, gunned down by the local police.
The shooting is said to be the second in Texas within just one week, one of the deadliest among 160 mass shootings in the USA this year so far.
The deadly gunfires occurred at a birthday party in Alabama, a school in Nashville and a mass shooting in Kentucky. Gun shootings in the USA are reportedly on the rise according ro The Gun Violence Archive statistics.
