HYDERABAD: A woman staged a unique protest by sitting in a pool of stagnant water on a damaged road in Anand Nagar, Nagole, on Thursday. Accompanied by several other women and men, she demanded safer roads.

Holding placards reading 'We Want Safe Roads,' the protestors emphasised the need for better road conditions, as the ones they stood on were severely damaged and filled with muddy water after the city's rains. The woman also claimed that authorities no longer prioritised road maintenance and citizen safety. Many joined her in calling for safer roads in the city.

In response to her protest, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) alerted the Assistant Engineer of Hayathnagar and the monsoon emergency team to address the stagnation and clear the area.
