This time, it was a high-scoring showdown between perennial rivals Australia and New Zealand, which came down to the wire, with Australia clinching victory by a narrow margin of 5 runs.

In this sensational contest, a staggering 771 runs were scored. Australia, batting first, saw an explosive opening partnership between David Warner and Travis Head, who put together a formidable 175-run stand in just 19.1 overs.
