KCR never differentiated between Hindus, Muslims, allocated Rs 2,200 Cr for 50 lakh Muslims: KTR
KT Rama Rao said the BRS Government under K Chandrashekar Rao allocated more funds for Muslims than any other State in the Country that has a much larger Muslim population than Telangana.
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao said the BRS Government under K Chandrashekar Rao allocated more funds for Muslims than any other State in the Country that has a much larger Muslim population than Telangana.
Addressing a BRS minority workers meeting in Kushaiguda under the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha Constituency here on Wednesday, KTR said that Uttar Pradesh Government allocated Rs 1,600 crore for four crore Muslims, West Bengal with two crore Muslims allocated Rs 2,000 crore, Maharashtra with 1.5 crore Muslim population allocated Rs 670 crore and Karnataka allocated Rs 2,000 crore for 80 lakh Mulsim population.
“But KCR allocated Rs 2,200 crore for just 50 lakh Muslim population in the State. KCR set up 204 Minority schools, more than 100 separate schools for girls, and spent Rs 1.20 lakh on each minority student in the State because he wanted them to compete with other children,” KTR pointed out.
Explaining that the Congress had cheated Muslims each time they voted for and elected it. Hence they must think twice before they cast their votes, he said. “Muslims would have been rich in five decades of Congress if that party did something for them. They did nothing but use you as a vote bank,” KTR said adding that the BJP on the other hand created a rift between Hindus and Muslims for political gain.
“KCR is a staunch Hindu, but he never tried to create a divide between communities. There were no communal incidents in Hyderabad for a decade under KCR. That is why in Hyderabad, Muslims refused to believe the Congress and defeated it,” KTR observed.
Refuting allegations of the Congress that the BRS and BJP had a tacit understanding, KTR said that if that was true his sister K Kavitha wouldn't have been arrested and jailed. “Kavitha, Kejriwal, and Hemanth Soren are in jail because they didn’t accept the BJP’s dictums,” he said.
Stressing that only regional parties have the strength to defeat the BJP, he said that the BJP failed to topple the Governments of Kejriwal, Mamatha, Stalin, and KCR. He added that Rahul Gandhi who was afraid of contesting from Amethi could never become a Prime Minister.
