Kishan Reddy affirms Modi Government's commitment to developing Telugu States

Reddy hailed Indian Railways' efforts to enhance facilities and increase speed, including converting double lines into triple lines

HYDERABAD: The Indian Railways has achieved significant development in the country over the past decade, according to Union Minister Kishan Reddy on Tuesday.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's virtual inauguration of the second Vande Bharat Express from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam, Reddy highlighted Modi Government's dedication to Telugu states' development.

He said that three Vande Bharat Expresses were already operational in the South Central Railway (SCR), and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was pleased to inaugurate another Vande Bharat express on March 12, 2024. He said that the construction of the Cherlapally terminal was 90 percent complete and would begin operations shortly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 10 Vande Bharat trains nationwide on Tuesday, bringing the total number of these trains in the country to over 50.

Reddy hailed Indian Railways' efforts to enhance facilities and increase speed, including converting double lines into triple lines.

He said that Secunderabad Railway Station was being renovated at a cost of Rs. 700 crores, and Nampally Railway Station at a cost of Rs. 500 crores.
