KTR casts vote, wishes brother YS Jagan, hopes he does well in Andhra Pradesh
BRS working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) and his family exercised their right to vote at GHMC Community Hall, Nandi Nagar, Banjara Hills polling station.
HYDERABAD: BRS working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) and his family exercised their right to vote at GHMC Community Hall, Nandi Nagar, Banjara Hills polling station.
Answering a question about his friend YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh by the media after coming out of the polling station, KTR said that he had many friends in political circles. “YS Jaganmohan Reddy is like a brother and I believe that he will achieve good results in this election
Exuding confidence that the BRS would win more seats than in the previous elections, he said that each party that contested the election would win but the people would decide the outcome.
He reminded that the current Telangana Government has half-implemented one guarantee out of the six guarantees. “Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy still needs to identify himself as Chief Minister. I want Revanth Reddy to focus on real problems like power cuts and water shortages,” KTR said.
The government should work on public issues aside from politics, KTR said. “As Ramachandra Prabhu said, Narendra Modi must follow Raja Dharma. Allotment of funds or allotment of projects was done without any discrimination among all states. All the people of India want change. Whom the people will vote for will be known on the fourth of June,” KTR observed.
KTR said that while Narendra Modi had been deceiving people for ten years, Revanth Reddy had been deceiving people here for a hundred days. “Today, the Congress party seems to have given six guarantees on electricity cuts. The six guarantees given by the Congress party are inverters, generators, candles, power banks, charging lights,” KTR said.
“Elections are a rare opportunity to elect governments every five years. The Constitution gave us a great opportunity to decide what kind of government we want. When the power to decide our government rests in the hands of the people, there is no use in not voting today and blaming later. Please everyone come out and vote,” KTR said after casting his vote.
He urged voters to vote for good governments and good leaders who represent their concerns. “The Telangana Government is struggling to install generators without power cuts near the polling station,” he observed. He said that he voted for the future of Telangana for Telangana
Meanwhile, former minister MLA Harish Rao cast his vote at the Ambitus School in Siddipet town. “I exercised my right to vote in Bharat Nagar along with my family members. People are actively participating in polling across the state. Polling will increase in more cities than ever before,” Harish Rao said.
He called upon intellectuals and educated people to participate in polling to strengthen democracy.
