Mogulaiah, the father of nine children, spent that amount and married off two of his daughters, purchased a site, and started constructing a house in Turkyamjal on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

However, he had to stop the construction because of his ill health and lack of money. Mogulaiah, who was a diabetic patient and has a son who suffered from epilepsy had to spend Rs 12,000 per month on medicines alone.
