Major fire at Telangana tourism office in Himayat Nagar, two SUVs gutted in blaze

HYDERABAD: A major fire broke out at Telangana tourism department head office, Himayat Nagar on Friday. The fire broke out at 3 am in the administration block on the first floor of the office.

Security personnel in the office alerted the fire brigade personnel about the incident. On receiving a distress call, the fire safety authorities rushed to the spot and douse the flames. Short circuit was identified as a preliminary reason for the fire, the fire brigade personnel said.

As the fire broke out in the administration building, several files, computers and furniture were burnt to flames. Two SUVs which were parked under the office were also gutted by fire, the officials added.
