MEIL official files complaint against misleading WhatsApp messages in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: S Visheswar Rao of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) on Monday lodged a complaint in Cybercrime police station in Hyderabad, against full vigorous and misleading comments against MEIL company and its management in WhatsApp groups since last few days.

Cybercrime police station has registered the case and launched an investigation. According to the complaint, the offensive WhatsApp messages alleged that PV Krishna Reddy, Managing Director of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd, obtained 90 per cent of projects in Telangana by offering a 7 per cent kickback to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Additionally, the WhatsApp posts claimed that Megha influenced the early retirement of IRS officer Balaji Mazumdar and asserted that all other project acquisitions in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra were carried out by Megha Engineering and Krishna Reddy.

The messages further alleged that Krishna Reddy paid kickbacks to Chief Ministers of relevant states, engaged in corruption in Government contracts, conducted financial manipulation and international money laundering, participated in land grabbing, collaborated with USA federal fugitives, generated fake bills, and employed coercive business practices. These allegations are all deemed false, concocted, and offensive to MEIL, its Managing Director, officers, and concerned departments, S.Visheswar Rao claimed in his complaint.

He has requested cybercrime police to immediately register FIR and to investigate and punish accused according to law thereby deleting the offensive post.
