‘Mermaids’ impress visitors at Kukatpally underwater exhibition in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Have you ever seen mermaids? Mermaid is a mythical creature that has head and trunk like a woman and tail like a fish and they live in water. They are amphibious sometimes.

Telugu people were amused by the role of a mermaid donned by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in the movie, “Saahasa veerudu, Saagara kanya” pairing with Victory Venkatesh.

Now, half a dozen mermaids are offering a feast to the eyes of visitors at an exhibition in Hyderabad.

Organisers of an underwater double-decker tunnel at an exhibition in Kukatpally brought six female swimmers to do the act of mermaids swimming in the water.

The same could be seen by visitors to the exhibition offering a never-before experience to the onlookers.

The visitors to the exhibition found themselves in awe of the mermaids.

How do they breath while swimming under water is surely interesting and the “myth” has been retained.
