Narendra Modi calls for transforming India into ‘Visva Mitr’ Bharat through spirituality at Kanha Shanti Vanam
To achieve the status of Viswa Mitr, India must strengthen four pillars: women empowerment, saving youth from negative thoughts, pride in labour, and entrepreneurship, the PM said.
HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for the merging of science with spirituality for the upliftment of every single person in the country.
Addressing a meeting organised by the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, at Kanha Shanti Vanam at Chegur on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that India, whose spirituality was trampled by the West, should revive its ‘Viswa Mitr’ (friend of the world) status once again.
“The Shri Ram Chandra Mission was successful in merging science and spirituality. India was made weak by attacking its roots, and its spirituality. Spiritually is killed by killing all the human values. Those who made us slaves attacked our Dhyan, Gyan, Yog, and Ayurved,” PM observed.
He said that the atmosphere in the country had changed. He called upon the people of the country that whatever the country did during the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal’ would decide the future of the country. Giving a call to the nation to observe a five-point agenda he called ‘Panch Pran’ said that a developed India could be achieved through freedom from the slavery of thought, pride in its traditions, unity, and duty.
“During the past ten years, we have tried to empower India spiritually. Because of the change that we brought, the United Nations recognised June 21 as Yoga Day. The time has come to take India to new heights in spirituality and I wish that the Shri Ram Chandra Mission will take an active part in it,” Narendra Modi said.
To achieve the status of Viswa Mitr, India must strengthen four pillars: women empowerment, saving youth from negative thoughts, pride in labour, and entrepreneurship, the PM said. He said that the Government on its part, tried to fulfil the needs of the common person so that no one was left alone on the path of development.
He said that the ‘My Bhrat’ programme launched on November 15 was aimed at merging youth with the process of nation-building. He called upon the youth to stay away from drugs and other negative habits.
Appreciating the efforts of the Mission in encouraging mediation in every home (har ghar dhyan), he said that it continued the great tradition of India. “I heard one lakh people could sit under one roof in Kanha Shanti Vanam and meditate. Imagine the energy that is generated from such a unified effort,” Narendra Modi pointed out.
Earlier, he, along with Bhai Kamlesh, (Daaji) unveiled the logo for the 125th birth anniversary of the founder of the Mission Babuji Maharaj.
