Police arrest seven Congress social media warriors in Amit Shah video morphing case

HYDERABAD: The Gachibowli Police took seven Congress social media warriors into custody from the Gandhi Bhavan in the Amit Shah video morphing case on Thursday.

Congress social media in-charge Manne Satish along with Naveen, Vishnu, Vamsi, Siva, Geetha, and Taslima were arrested by the Gachibowli police. They were handed over to the Central Crime Station (CCS) police after the arrest.

Earlier, Delhi Police came to Gandhi Bhavan to issue notices to Congress social media in-charge Manne Satish under 91 crpc. The BJP leaders have complained in Delhi that Congress leaders of TPCC had created a fake video against the BJP in the matter of reservations of SCs and STs.

In fact two complaints were filed by the BJP- one in Telangana and another in Delhi based on those complaints two different FIRs were issued.

In Telangana, cops booked TPCC social media members, while Delhi police issued notices to five including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and asked them to appear on May 1.

Telangana police booked them under 469,505(1)(c)IPC but Delhi Police booked them under 153, 153A, 465, 469, 171G.

Now Delhi Police have arrived in Hyderabad and the accused members are stationed at the CCS office.

According to sources Delhi police have asked for a transit warrant.
