Police search residences of former intelligence chief, others in Praneeth Rao phone tapping case

HYDERABAD: Panjagutta police searched the residences of at least ten former senior police officials in the city on Saturday morning in connection with the phone tapping case of arrested deputy superintendent of police D Praneeth Rao.
Prominent among the former officers were ex-intelligence chief Prabhakar Rao, who said have left the country for the USA, intelligence additional SP Bhujanga Rao, Hyderabad city ex-task force DCP Radha Kishan Rao, and Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) DSP Tirupatanna. Police said that Radha Kishan Rao also left Hyderabad and were trying to trace his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, the police would present Praneeth Rao before the Nampally criminal courts on Saturday as the custody given to the SIB ended today.
