Protest erupts at Dilsukhnagar Metro over GO 46
Hundreds of GO 46 victims block roads in Dilsukhnagar, demanding Congress fulfill its promise to revoke the order.
HYDERABAD: The area around the Dilsukhnagar Metro station was thrown into chaos as hundreds of victims affected by Government Order (GO) 46 staged a massive protest.
The demonstrators, who blocked the roads, accused the Congress government of failing to fulfill its promise to revoke the controversial order.
The protest led to significant traffic jams, causing inconvenience to commuters. The victims, who had been assured by the Congress party that GO 46 would be annulled upon coming to power, expressed their frustration and anger over the unfulfilled promise.
As the situation escalated, police were deployed to manage the crowd. However, tensions rose further when the protesters accused the police of using excessive force, including tearing their shirts. The demonstrators questioned whether the Congress leaders, who had forgotten their promises, should face similar public humiliation.
The protesters also criticised the Congress ministers, urging them to honour their commitments and deliver justice to the victims of GO 46.
