Punjagutta police nab three robbers for snatching handbag from woman in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, successfully apprehended three notorious individuals who committed a robbery on the night of March 24-25, 2024, near the Punjagutta area in Hyderabad. They forcefully snatched the complainant's handbag, which contained a gold chain with a Baba locket, Airpods, and a sum of Rs. 500.
Dudani Sagar Singh, the accused, is a native of Balanagar, Cyberabad. He is a notorious offender involved in a total of 16 cases, including bodily and property theft cases in twin cities. In 2021, he was detained under the PD Act by the Bala Nagar police, Cyberabad commissionerate.
Currently, he works as a bike seizure agent for a finance company named Ram Honda Company, located in Ramkote, Hyderabad. Dudani Sagar Singh, along with his friends Salam Khan and Koyada Naveen Kumar, resides in the same locality. They frequently consume alcohol, intoxication tablets, and smoke ganja.
On March 24, 2024, after consuming alcohol, the accused trio headed to Punjagutta to commit robbery, where they spotted victims near Shishira Hospital, Yellareddyguda, Punjagutta, Hyderabad, around 12:20 am. Following Dudani Sagar Singh and Salam Khan's directions, Koyada Naveen Kumar approached the victims, and Sagar Singh forcibly snatched a bag containing valuable items before fleeing from the spot.
A case has been registered against the accused persons under Cr.No.288/2024 U.sec 392 r/w 34 IPC at Punjagutta police station.
Furthermore, A-1 Dudani Sagar Singh committed three additional cases of theft, including two robbery cases and one extortion case under the jurisdiction of Sanath Nagar police station and Allapur police station. He has been absconding since the commission of the offences.
Dudani Sagar Singh has previously been involved in numerous cases, including theft and robbery cases in Balanagar, Cyberabad, and various other police stations in Hyderabad City and Rachakonda. He was detained under the PD Act within the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits
