Revanth Reddy at Davos: Hyderabad to house C4IR during Bio Asia convention in February

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and World Economic Forum president Borge Brende jointly announced at Davos that Hyderabad will house the 19th Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and World Economic Forum (WEF) president Borge Brende jointly announced at Davos that Hyderabad will house the 19th Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR). The centre will be launched on February 28 during the Bio Asia convention in the city.

An MoU was signed during the WEF summit in Davos, to kickstart the proposed State Health Tech Landscape of the Government. “The broad ideology of the WEF and the agenda set by the Telangana Government are the same. Developing the living standards of people has a bearing on the welfare of the general public,” Revanth Reddy observed at the meeting with Borge Brende.

He said that the partnership with the WEF would help Telangana to provide health through the best technology leading to a good life for every single citizen of the State. IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu added that the Government wanted to transform Telangana as a health tech hub.

The proposed C4IR in Hyderabad would concentrate on health and life sciences and would be the life sciences host spot that would in turn attract 20,000 start-ups that the Telangana Government was planning to bring in through incubators.

 Meanwhile, the CM also launched the Telangana pavilion at Davos with the ‘Where Tradition Meets Innovation’ Theme. Calling the delegates to invest in Telangana, the pavilion was adorned with Batukamma, Bonalu, Charminar, and Cheryala paintings, and Ikkat sarees.

 On the sidelines of the WEF, CM Revanth Reddy met Geoff Martha, CEO of Medtronic, and Preetha Reddy, Apollo Hospital. They discussed plans for Telangana in the broad area of fusion of healthcare and technology.

CM Revanth Reddy met with Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of UNFPA at the sidelines of a conference on setting up and addressing priorities for communities.
