Revanth Reddy pays tributes to PV Narasimha Rao on death anniversary
He said that his Government would develop the PV Narasimha Rao Ghat and also the Ghat of former Minister Jaipal Reddy to keep their memories alive for future generations.
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that his Government will follow the directions given by the former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao in the development of Telangana.
He and Ministers D Sridhar Babu, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and D Anasuya paid tributes to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao on his 19th death anniversary at the PV Gnana Bhoomi in Hyderabad on Saturday. A few family members of the former PM were also present.
“Narasimha Rao took bold decisions when the country was facing severe financial crisis, Revanth Reddy said. He pointed out that the former PM mortgaged gold to save the country from the debt trap. He said that only a part of the wealth was mortgaged to save the remaining, Revanth Reddy recalled.
Addressing the gathering at the PV Gnana Bhoomi, CM said that PV paved the way for the distribution of land to the poor by first donating his land to the poor in his native village.
He said that his Government would develop the PV Narasimha Rao Ghat and also the Ghat of former Minister Jaipal Reddy to keep their memories alive for future generations. He said that both the leaders were very valuable sons of the soil for Telangana.
