Saddula Bathukamma: Hyderabad traffic police issues traffic advisory on October 22

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad traffic police have issued a traffic advisory for Saddula Bathukamma on October 22, 2023, predicting traffic congestion around Lumbini Park and Upper Tank Bund from 2pm to 11pm.

During the program, traffic will be either stopped or diverted at the following locations. Traffic diversions and restrictions will be made, if required as per the local situation

• The general traffic coming to Tank bund from Telugu thalli junction and Karbala Maidan, will not be allowed on October 22, 2023 from 2pm to 11pm.
• Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar will not be allowed towards Upper tank bund will be diverted towards Telugu tally flyover–Kattamaisamma- DBR- Indira park-Gandhinagar- RTC cross road.
• Traffic coming from V.V. Statue towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Indira Gandhi statue (Necklace rotary) towards Prasad’s IMAX and Mint Lane.
• Traffic from Nallagutta junction towards Budha bhavan will not be allowed and will be diverted at Nallagutta cross roads towards Ranigunj and Necklace road.
• Traffic coming from Liberty towards upper tank bund will be diverted at Ambedker Statue towards Iqbal minar ‘u’ turn via Telugu tally junction on to the Telugu Tally Flyover.
• Traffic coming from Secunderabad towards upper tank bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House-Jabbar complex- Kawadiguda – Lower Tank bund-Kattamaisamma and Telugu tally flyover.
• Traffic coming from Musheerbad and Kawadiguda towards Children’s Park – Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at DBR Mills towards Lower Tankbund-Kattamaisamma.

RTC buses diversion

• All inter district RTC buses coming from Secunderabad towards MGBS will be diverted at Sweekar-Upakar Junction towards YWCA-Sangeeth-Mettuguda-Tarnaka-Nallakunta-Fever Hospital cross road- Barkathpura-tourist hotel - Nimboli Adda – Chaderghat - Rangmahal and MGBS from 2pm to 11pm.
• City buses will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House-Jabbar complex - Kawadiguda cross roads - Lower tank bund - Kattamaisamma and on to the Telugu Tally flyover from 2pm to 11pm.

Citizens are requested to avoid following the junctions where traffic congestion is expected

Hyderabad traffic police have requested the commuters to take note of the above diversions and traffic congestion points and take alternate routes to reach their destination. The Traffic diversions/ closures of roads would be removed / open after the conclusion of the programme.
