HYDERABAD: Famous Parsi hangout Soda Bottle Opener Wala will be shutting down its outlet on the Jubilee Hills main road on August 31. The outlet is winding up its operations in the city.
Soda Bottle Opener Wala is a popular Indian chain of restaurants known for its retro-inspired decor and traditional Parsi and Irani cuisines, providing a real-time Bombay Irani café experience.
The restaurant offers a lively, casual atmosphere celebrating Iranian and Parsi culture and traditions, perfect for socializing with friends or family, and provides friendly and attentive service.
The cafe's foods, which includes freshly baked vada-pav, bun maska, kebabs, biryani, dhansak, sandwiches, and signature soda bottles, makes it tough to recommend a single dish or beverage.
The cafe, renowned for its Parsi culture, refers to Diqra for the men's washroom, while the women's washroom is called Diqri.

Padmaja Konnisetti, a Hyderabad resident, said on Instagram that she went to Soda Bottle Opener Wala for one last dinner before it shuts its café in Hyderabad. She visited Soda Bottle Opener Wala in Hyderabad on Thursday, savoring the only Parsi cafe she's ever tasted, including Dhansak and other Parsi staples.
The cafe's closing announcement displayed at the restaurant reads, "It's goodbye from Rustom, Hyderabad! With great sadness and a Parsi peg in hand, we inform you that Soda Bottle Opener Wala Hyderabad is closing on August 20, 2023. It was a hard but necessary decision, and we will miss it. seeing all of you. So come say goodbye, Gadhero! Let's eat, dance, and celebrate. We hope to be back soon, but until then, Khavanu, Pivanu, and live a Majjani life!"
The cafe, despite a challenging decision, plans to return soon, urging Hyderabadis to visit the cafe one last time to bid goodbye.
