Secunderabad Railway police destroy 1,575 kg of ganja worth Rs. 4 crores

HYDERABAD: The Secunderabad Government Railway police destroyed approximately 1,575 kg of Ganja seized in 52 cases, valued at Rs. 4 crores, at Romo Industries, Turkapur Village, Bhongir, on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illegal Trafficking.

The details of the seized Ganja are as follows: Secunderabad Urban confiscated 579 kg in 22 cases, worth Rs. 1,44,75,000. Secunderabad Rural seized 98.68 kg across 5 cases, valued at Rs. 24,50,000. Khazipet Division reported 896.70 kg in 25 cases, amounting to Rs. 2,24,00,000.

The committee is chaired by Chandana Deepti, Nodal Officer and includes member S.N. Jawed, DSRP(U) Secunderabad, member T. Krupakar, DSRP Khazipet, RP Secunderabad, and officers from Kacheguda, Hyderabad, Khazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Secunderabad Line, and Hyderabad Line, under the guidance of Mahesh M. Bhagwat, ADGP Railway, Telangana State.
