Shamshabad airport receives hoax bomb call, late passenger was the caller

HYDERABAD: In a terrifying incident that happened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Monday, the airport officials received a bomb threat call. The man who called the airport claimed that a bomb was planted on the Hyderabad-Chennai flight, causing tension in the airport.  

Alerted airport officials conducted inspections along with a bomb squad and dog squad. Officials said that no suspicious or dangerous items were found during the inspections.   

Airport intelligence officers tracked down the person who made the threat call and handed him over to the police. Ajmira Bhadraiah, who was working as a senior engineer in Chennai, was found to have made this call. Interrogation revealed that the man was denied entry into the airport as he was late which made him make the call.
