HYDERABAD: The Shamshabad police have arrested the accused persons for selling lands with forged documents and signatures of the owner in Siddapur village of Kothur mandal in Ranga Reddy district.

In a briefing to the media, DCP Narayana Reddy and ADCP Ram Kumar of Shamshabad said here on Saturday that the plots owned by Mary Suvarnabhoomi Resorts (MSR) managed by Roja Rani with Survey No. 69,70,69/A,70/A,70/AA,69/E,70/E,81&82 were sold through fraudulent means.

Stating that the main suspect behind the fraud was Kalyan Chakraborty, the DCP said that the former had forged the signatures of Director Roja Rani and sold three plots with a total area of 1 164 square yards to Krishna Mohan.

Upon knowing it, Roja Rani complained to the police, who subsequently registered a case against the accused. The police confirmed the forgery with a forensic lab report and arrested and remanded the accused.

ACP Rangaswamy, Town CI Pratap Lingam, Sub Inspectors Sarath Kumar, Narsimha Naik, and others were present.
