HYDERABAD: Telangana High Court on Wednesday admitted suo motu the case of stray dogs attacking and killing a four-year-old boy in Amberpet in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The High Court took up the case on its own based on newspaper reports.

It may be recalled that the four-year-old boy Pradeep was mauled by stray dogs and the same was recorded in closed-circuit TV Cameras. The incident created a sensation across the State.

The High Court will take up hearing of the case on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Special Chief Secretary issued directions to the Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to have a mobile app developed for reporting about the stray dogs.

The State Government has also taken the issue seriously, as a few more such incidents were reported.
