Temperatures soar to 34-36°C until February 8 in Telangana
The mercury is forecasted to spike even higher, reaching 36-37°C in North and East Telangana in the next few days
HYDERABAD: As winter bids adieu, Telangana gears up for the forthcoming embrace of spring season. However, a sudden spike in temperatures across the State gives the impression that the summer season is swiftly making its presence felt, with noticeable temperature increases.
From February 3, 2024, sudden temperature surges were observed, indicating the early arrival of a heat spell expected to persist until February 8, 2024. During this period, temperatures are anticipated to soar to a scorching 34-36°C, according to Telangana Weatherman T Balaji. While the nights are expected to remain comfortable, they wouldn't offer the respite of cooler temperatures.
The mercury is forecasted to spike even higher, reaching 36-37°C in North and East Telangana in the next few days. However, relief is in sight for Hyderabad, with temperatures projected to drop to 34-35°C from February 9 to 14, 2024.
Some districts, including Adilabad and Asifabad in North Telangana, are poised for scattered storms during February 10-11, while the rest of the state braces for predominantly dry weather.
According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rain or thundershowers in isolated places from February 10 to 12, providing temporary relief from the rising temperatures.
