Elderly man dies after being hit and dragged by train

HYDERABAD: An elderly man lost his life after being struck by the Warangal-Secunderabad passenger train while crossing the tracks between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar railway stations.

The impact caused the man's body to become entangled in the train engine, and it was dragged for approximately five kilometres.

Alerted by individuals at the railway gate, CRPF police stopped the train after it passed Ghatkesar. The body was then retrieved from the engine.

The incident is under investigation by railway authorities and local police.
