Young woman escapes rape attempt by real estate executives in Hyderabad
While returning to Hyderabad after visiting a site in Yadadri, they allegedly attempted to rape her after drugging her cool drink.
HYDERABAD: A young woman escaped from an attempted sexual assault by two executives of a real estate company in Hyderabad.
The woman, who had come from Kadapa to Hyderabad for a job, was staying in Uppal and working as a sales trainee at a real estate company in Miyapur. During her training, two sales executives, Sangareddy and Janardhan, allegedly developed an interest in her.
On the pretext of showing her a site in Yadadri, Sangareddy and Janardhan took the woman in a car. While returning to Hyderabad, they allegedly drugged her cool drink and attempted to rape her. However, she managed to escape and reported the incident to the Uppal police that night.
The Uppal police registered a case under zero FIR and transferred it to Miyapur.
Miyapur Inspector Durga Ramalinga Prasad confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
