Youth electrocuted while setting up lights for Vinayaka mandap in Palnadu

HYDERABAD: An 18-year-old youth died due to electrocution while setting up lights in a Vinayaka mandap in Potluru village of Palnadu district on Saturday.

The accident occurred in Shavalyapuram mandal when a young man, Vedhasahayam, came in contact with a live wire while working on the festival arrangements. He died on the spot due to the severe electric shock.

The incident sent shockwaves through the village, turning the festive atmosphere into one of grief.

Family members rushed to the scene upon receiving the news and were heartbroken by the tragedy. Police arrived at the location, conducted an inquest, and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
