Nagarjuna extends support to Karthi for Sardar

Nagarjuna Akkineni is not very active in film production but he is active in film distribution. Nagarjuna is actively releasing other language films in Telugu. Last year, he distributed the Telugu version of the Bollywood film 96. Now, he is back with another film and this time it is a Tamil film.

Titled Sardar, the film features Karthi in the lead role. Directed by PS Mithran, the film also features Raashi Khanna. The film unit is planning to release the film during Diwali.

Sardar is billed to be a high intense action thriller and Nagarjuna is releasing the film under the Annapurna Studios banner. Nagarjuna reportedly acquired the film's distribution rights for a whopping amount and he is going to release the movie in both the Telugu states.

Earlier, Nagarjuna and Karthi acted together in the film Oopiri. The film became a very big hit at the box office and both the actors bonded well.

Chunky Panday and Rajisha Vijayan are also a part of the project, playing important roles. George C Williams is the cinematographer, while GV Prakash Kumar provides soundtracks.
