In his latest interaction, Sonu Sood said that he was in talks for Baahubali. The makers needed him for two years but the actor was already busy with Happy New Year at that time. So, he had to turn down the offer.

Later, Sonu met Prabhas once and asked about the progress of Baahubali. Then, the Mirchi actor said that they finished 30% of the second part and gave up. They couldn't shoot anymore. Prabhas told Sonu that the second part would resume only if the first part gets a good reception from the audience.

Sonu Sood further added that is the reason why the ending of the first part was so abrupt. He stated that after Baahubali became a success, the makers decided to resume the shoot of the second part. The rest is history.
