Amaravati scandal: AP CID raids Narayana’s NSPIRA offices in Madhapur
Sleuths of AP CID have been conducting raids at three properties of former minister Ponguru Narayana in Hyderabad since Tuesday morning
HYDERABAD: Sleuths of Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (AP CID) have been conducting raids at three properties of former minister, TDP leader and educationist Ponguru Narayana in Hyderabad since Tuesday morning. Several members of the AP CID are reported to be mainly searching the offices of NSPIRA located in Madhapur.
The raids were reportedly being carried out since 10 am in connection with the alleged scandal of purchasing assigned lands in Amaravati capital region. It is learnt that the searches were prompted following the detection of massive-scale diversion of funds from NSPIRA, promoted by Narayana, to Ramakrishna Housing Society.
It was found during the earlier investigation of the AP CID that assigned lands were purchased in Amaravati in the name of Ramakrishna Society. During Tuesday’s searches at NSPIRA, the CID officials were believed to have confiscated over 40 hard disks containing crucial information besides other material. Several employees of the company were also being reportedly grilled by the investigating authorities.
