City police advises people not to venture out

HYDERABAD M: A red alert has been sounded by the meteorological department for Sunday night, Monday whole day and Tuesday morning regarding heavy rains.
City police commissioner C V Anand, in an advisroy, said that there was a heavy cloud cover looming over entire Telangana. A lot of flooding, overflowing of rivulets and lakes , roads getting cut etc were expected which would throw regular life out of gear.
All educational institutions were ordered to be closed by the Govt for three days. The Hyderabad City Police appealed to the general public immediately that in view of the expected heavy rainfalls, the public might avoid non-essential travel and were asked to watch the weather and rain forecasts before venturing out.
All precautions must be taken in and around homes too . The police has deployed it' s traffic, law and order officers for night duties , equipped them with raincoats, shoes, other disaster management equipment like ropes , pumps etc, activated the coordination with GHMC teams and put NDRF on alert.
