Demolition of encroachments causes tension in Narsingi

HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed for a while in Narsingi when the town planning officials demolished illegal constructions on footpaths on Tuesday.

Reportedly, people put up various structures on footpaths in Gowlidoddi area of Narsingi. On Tuesday, the officials took down these structures with the help of JCBs as part of a demolition drive against encroachments.

Policemen were deployed heavily in the area after people started protesting against the demolition. They claimed that there were no prior notices given and that it would affect their livelihood.
