Evening OP services started in Gandhi Hospital

HYDERABAD: As per the directions of Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao, authorities of the Gandhi Hospital have commenced evening outpatient (OP) services. Accordingly, the hospital is open for OP services between 4 and 6 pm everyday.

Medical practitioners of general medicine, general surgery, gynaecology, paediatric and orthopedic wings will be examining the patients during this time. The Telangana Health Department has, in its recent order, issued revised guidelines for the Gandhi Hospital with regard to the OP services.

According to these instructions, the hospital should start giving out OP slips right from 7:30 am and the doctors have been instructed to be available from 9 am onwards.

The OP services should be taken up until the last patient holding the slip is screened and provided with medicare. The reports for blood tests should be readied on the same day the blood samples were collected from the patients. Also, the staff should extract blood samples throughout the duration of the OP services time and the report collection counters should be kept open during this period.

It was instructed that all the measures suggested should be implemented with immediate effect.
