HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Airport saw a unique visitor last night. The Airbus Beluga, the world's largest cargo plane, arrived at Hyderabad Airport on Sunday. The whale-shaped Beluga arrived at Hyderabad International Airport on December 4 and will remain until 7:20 p.m. on December 5, 2022.

Special arrangements were made by GMR authorities for the airport's landing, parking, and take-off. The Airbus Beluga is well known for its ability to transport large amounts of cargo.

The world's largest cargo plane, the Antonov An-225, made its first landing in India in May 2016 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Airport was chosen based on the strength of its infrastructure and technical parameters.
