HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad SHE team has rescued a young woman from a stalker in the city. The woman, who had moved to Hyderabad from Karnataka for a better future, came in contact with Shahid Nawab (29) at her group study sessions.

The man, who had expressed his interest in her, started sending abusive messages after being rejected by her. Vexed with his behaviour, the young woman had approached the SHE team through a WhatsApp message. Swinging immediately into action, the SHE team arrested the accused and produced him in the court with evidence. The accused was sentenced to five days of imprisonment.

Prankster nabbed in Ameerpet

Suresh, a prankster, who staged silly pranks on women, was apprehended by the SHE team at Ameerpet. The 25-year-old accused was caught by the team during their patrolling duty in order to ensure the safety of women in the city. The accused was produced in a court and was sentenced to three days in prison. A fine was also imposed for the unethical activities carried out by the accused.

Man arrested for harassing ex-wife even after divorce

The SHE team has arrested one Manideep for constantly harassing his ex-wife even after their divorce. Based on a complaint from the 23-year-old woman, Manideep was arrested and produced in a court. Reportedly, Manideep harassed the woman insisting that she should not get married again.

Though the woman had changed her phone number, the accused kept enquiring about her whereabouts with her colleagues and friends. The accused was sentenced to five days of imprisonment.

Suspicious boyfriend arrested for constant nagging

The SHE team came to the rescue of a woman working at a Pharmacy in Hyderabad from her over-possessive boyfriend Irfan Farooq. The woman was in a relationship with her colleague. The accused, constantly suspecting his girlfriend's behaviour, imposed restrictions on her. He had even demanded screenshots of the woman's call log.

Unable to bear his constant nagging, the woman approached the SHE team and lodged a complaint against Irfan. The 22-year-old accused was sentenced to five days of imprisonment.
