HYDERABAD: Preparations are afoot for two new zones to be established by January 1, 2023, under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.

Under the two new zones, 14 new police stations will be inaugurated.

The new stations would be inaugurated in Domalguda, Khairatabad, Tadbaan, Karkhana, Warasiguda, Film Nagar, Masab Tank, Rahmat Nagar, Borabanda, Bandlaguda, IS Sadan, Tolichowki and Gudimalkapur.

Under the Commissionerate development process, two new zones, South East Zone and South West Zone would be established.

The Hyderabad Commissionerate currently has Central Zone, North Zone, East Zone, West Zone and South Zone. There would also be 10 new divisions for improved governance -- Gandhinagar, Tirumalagiri, Amberpet, Chilakalguda, Osmania University, Jubilee Hills, Bahadur Pura, Golconda, Kulsumpura and Saidabad would be converted into new divisions.
