Hyderabad to host Formula E race on February 11, 2023

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad will become the first Indian city to host a Formula E race on February 11, 2023. An event named 'Hyderabad e-Mobility Week' will take place from February 6 to 11, 2023, to commemorate this historic event and build up to the marquee race.

According to reports, e-Mobility week will be jam-packed with exciting events that will highlight Hyderabad's place in the world's electric vehicle ecosystem. In addition, the city will host the Rall-E Hyderabad, the Hyderabad E-Motor Show, and the Hyderabad EV Summit before concluding the week with the Hyderabad E-Prix.

The website for the Hyderabad e-Mobility Week was unveiled, along with the event's logo and booklet on Friday at Pragathi Bhavan in the presence of the Minister for IT, Industries and MA&UD, K T Rama Rao and G Jagadish Reddy, Minister for Energy.

This is going to be a monumental week for Hyderabad and India, said KTR following the launch. "The Hyderabad E-Prix will be one of the biggest international events ever held in the state, and taking advantage of the Hyderabad e-Mobility Week to host the international EV ecosystem in Hyderabad is a terrific way to put Hyderabad on the EV map of the globe. Future sustainable mobility lies in the EV market and Telangana has been a pioneer in fostering an atmosphere that will encourage the adoption of zero-emission vehicles. In addition to attracting investments from significant EV firms like Fisker, Olectra, Hyundai, and Biliti Electric, we were one of the first states to introduce an EV&ESS policy in 2020," he added.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, ITE&C, and Industries and Commerce Departments, said: "The Hyderabad e-Mobility Week will be one of the largest global platforms for EV companies and ancillary businesses in the world to showcase their latest technologies, products, and services that will shape the future of green mobility, and will enrich the growing EV ecosystem of the state." The activities planned for this week will provide attendees the chance to network with the top professionals in the field and could bring in more capital for the state.
