HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday expressed condolences on the death of Prince Mukarram Jha, the grandson of the last Nizam of Hyderabad State, Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur, and son of Azam Shah and Durre Shehwar couple.

In recognition of the social services rendered by Mukarram Jha in the fields of education and medicine for the poor as the successor of the Nizam, Chief Minister KCR directed Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari to conduct his last rites with the state honours.

As the body of Mukarram Jha, who died on Saturday night in Istanbul, Turkey, would reach Hyderabad on Tuesday, the Chief Minister directed the government advisor AK Khan to take steps to hold the funeral at the time and place as per the decision of his family members. AK Khan is coordinating with the Mukkaram Jha's family in this regard as per the instructions of the CM.
