HYDERABAD: Mass-feeding, blood donation camps and rallies marked Milad-un-Nabi, the Muslim festival to celebrate the birthday of Hazrat Muhammad Prophet on Sunday. Many parts of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, including Old City, came alive with a variety of activities on this occasion.

Huge rallies were taken out to Charminar Makkah Masjid from several parts of the Old City. Special prayers were held where preachings of the Prophet were recited.

Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, along with other religious leaders, also flagged off a huge rally celebrating Miland-un-Nabi. The rally was scheduled to wind through Mughalpura, Charminar Gulzar House, Madina Nayapool and Darul Shifa. The city police have made elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the various activities on this occasion.
