MLAs' poaching: Telangana HC rejects BJP petition for transfer of case to CBI

HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court rejected a petition filed by the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) seeking the transfer of the Poachgate case to the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) on Tuesday.
The High Court's Chief Justice bench ordered that the investigation be continued under the supervision of the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The investigation must be transparent, and it must be carried out under the supervision of SIT Chief CV Anand, the High Court ordered.
The Telangana High Court also ordered that the SIT should not disclose the progress of the investigation to any authority or the media regarding the case's investigation. The SIT should not reveal the status of the investigation to political or executive authorities.
On October 27, the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) petitioned the High Court for the transfer of a case involving Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs' poaching allegations against the party to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to conduct an unbiased investigation.
